Kisses so sweet and velvety soft
A gentle and delicate brush of the lips
Soaking in the moment memorizing every second
I don’t take you in gulps but in small sweet sips
My heart: still pumping like the soft beat of a drum
My hands: still shaking from the adrenaline in my veins
My mind: still foggy, clouded with thoughts of you
My heart: now attached to yours tied in unbreakable chains
The smile that dances over my face
As we part I can still feel the remembrance of your kiss
I feel my heart leap in my throat
And let you know that it’s your lips that I miss
Mine tingle every so softly
And I touch them to make sure that it was real
Gently brushing fingertips to skin
I hope your lips is what I’ll feel
But alas this fog has lifted
From my mind against my will
But each time I think of that first soft velvety kiss
I always smile without hesitation and to my spine I get a chill
